About Us
The story behind Voseluxmax.eu and our commitment to great interior design
Voseluxmax.eu is an independent editorial guide to interior design and living spaces in the Czech Republic. We believe that a well-designed home is not a luxury reserved for those with large budgets or architectural training. It is something that everyone can achieve with the right knowledge, a clear eye and a willingness to make considered choices.
Our Mission
We set out to create a resource that takes interior design seriously without taking itself too seriously. Our articles are written for people who care about their homes — whether they are furnishing a first apartment in Prague, renovating a family house in the Bohemian countryside, or simply looking for ideas to refresh a room that has stopped working.
We cover:
- Design principles and how to apply them in real homes
- The history and heritage of Czech interior design
- Practical solutions for the challenges of Czech housing stock
- Material and furniture guidance for different budgets and styles
- Inspiration from the finest interiors in the Czech Republic and beyond
Why Czech Interiors?
The Czech Republic has an extraordinary design heritage that is not as widely known internationally as it deserves to be. Czech Cubism, the functionalist villas of Brno, the Art Nouveau apartments of Prague — these represent genuine contributions to the history of interior design that continue to inspire designers and homeowners today.
At the same time, Czech housing presents specific challenges: the legacy of panel-era construction, the constraints of historic apartment buildings, the particular quality of Central European light and climate. We address these challenges directly, with practical advice rooted in the realities of Czech living.
Our Approach
We write about what we know. Our content is based on careful research, visits to significant interiors, and conversations with designers, architects and homeowners. We do not publish sponsored content or accept payment for editorial coverage. Our recommendations are independent.
We use images from Wikimedia Commons — a repository of freely licensed photographs that allows us to illustrate our articles with real interiors rather than staged commercial photography. We believe this gives a more honest picture of how spaces actually look and feel.
Get in Touch
We welcome questions, suggestions for topics, and corrections. If you have a design challenge you would like us to address, or if you know of an interior that deserves wider attention, please contact us. We read every message.
